If you have an FTA receiver that went down
due to a bad bin load or clone killer? We can jtag your
receiver and bring it back to life for $25.00 (if it has
a header currently installed) or $35.00 (if it doesn't have
a header installed), plus return shipping.
We work on many brands of FTA Receivers,
here are some of them: Ariza, Ace 2700, Coolsat, Cooltec
4000 Pro, Digisat 4000 Pro, Digiwave 6800 & 7000, Fortec Lifetime Ultra (plus clones), Lavasat 3200,
Megasat YT, Multisat, Pansat 2500A - 2700A - 3500S (plus
clones), Pantec, Ultrasat, Vortex Pro and more. There
are models of these brands that don't yet have full flash
dumps or that require tsop removal to repair, if that is
the case we don't work on them. At the moment we don't repair,
Viewsat and CaptiveWorks receivers, but will update the
site once we do.
When you get your receiver back from our
jtag repair service it will have the factory bin on it unless
you request to have a factory bin of a different compatible
receiver put on it. If you choose to have this done be sure
to let us know in your service request otherwise the factory
bin of your receiver will be put back on it.
Before sending your receiver remove the top
cover and determine whether it has a jtag header on the
board. It will look like one of the below pictures except
it might just have ten pins instead of 20. Make sure your
receiver is unplugged before removing the cover and also
avoid touching any of the components with your hands. If
you don't want to remove your cover to check let me know
in your Service Request email (Read
Service Request page).
Also before sending a receiver leave it plugged
up and turned on whether you see any lights or not for an
hour or so and feel the top of the receiver to see if it
is warm or if you can hear a slight buzz sound. This is
checking to see if the power supply is working, most of
the time you will be able to feel the heat or hear it running.
I can repair a bad power supply* but it will take additional
time to acquire the power supply and additional costs. If
we receive a receiver with a bad power supply we will either
return it with a refund minus the return shipping costs
or we will repair it after receiving the owners authorization.
It is important for you to honestly tell
us what has been done to your receiver prior to paying
or sending your unit to us for repair. If you have
damaged your board due to over heating (soldering) or
incorrectly connecting to the jtag pads we will not be
responsible for the damage. There is the rare occasion
that a receiver cannot be recovered by jtag'n, we have
had two such cases so far (one with a bad power supply
and another with damaged components), we will either
refund your entire payment if you wish the receiver
trashed or we will refund the payment minus return
shipping cost if you want the receiver returned. We use
a jig to repair boards without jtag headers, we do not
solder on the boards or repair boards that someone else
has caused heat damage. The reason it cost more to get a
receiver fixed if it doesn't have a jtag header is it
takes a considerable time to set the jig up correctly.
We usually ship the repaired stb the day
after receiving it, but if this isn't possible we will let
you know in our email response to your inquiry if we are
unable to do so for any reason. Please check out our
Payment Options page for payment instructions and our
Shipping Info page shipping instructions.
Please continue to the
Payment Options page. If your receiver isn't listed
above or you have any questions at all please contact us
at:
Harps Products.
*power supply - We do not stock
power supplies, so if you request a power supply the
price is dependent on availability and current market.
Contact Us if your receiver isn't listed in the above
satellite receivers and we will let you know whether we
repair them or not.
